SUMMER PARTY
Due to Covid and snowy weather in 2022 (which meant we had to cancel our Christmas Party) it had been 3 years since we gathered all volunteers, staff and trustees together. So we were long overdue a get together.
The main reason for our Summer Party was to say a big thank you to all of our volunteers. We have over 100 volunteers who help in every aspect of The Nightingale; our shops, the centre, events, fundraising, the list really does go on. We know we have the best community of volunteers. Each and every person gives so much hard work, dedication and time to The Nightingale all for free. Our volunteers are so selfless, doing what they do for the love of the charity and knowing that what they do helps thousands of people get the support they need when they need it.
So putting on a Summer Party is such a small way for us to say a big thank you to each and every one of them.
This year, we were delighted to have the opportunity to host our summer Party at Brookwater House. A newly opened care home in the heart of Palmers Green, with absolutely stunning facilities. The team at Brookwater went above and beyond for us. They were too kind, offering to host, cater and serve the event free of charge! The evening was spectacular, the food delicious (cooked by their michelin star chef) and the entertainment top notch (the dance floor was packed). We look forward to continuing our relationship with Brookwater House, we so appreciate everything they did for The Nightingale on the evening. Plus, they kindly gave each of our attendees a little gift bag, a lovely way to end a lovely evening.
