On Monday 21st October, The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre was delighted to welcome Bishop John Arnold to visit the centre.  Bishop John was instrumental in the formation of the charity and continues to be to a valued supporter.  During his visit, in addition to meeting with the Trustees, staff and volunteers, he officially unveiled a room named in his honour, The John Arnold Room.

Joan Kearns, Director of Services and Development said, “The John Arnold Room is a multi function room and is used to deliver a wide range of activities including educational workshops, exercise classes, meetings and support groups.  When planning the layout of the centre, we wanted to create a room that served more than one purpose.  With space-sensitive furniture and a few clever design ideas, we created a fully functional room which suits all our needs.  We wanted to thank Bishop John for his vision to create a charity that supports local people who are affected by cancer and felt that naming a room in his honour was the most fitting way to do this.”
