Leave a Legacy. Make a Change.
“This is a lasting, positive impact, not only for The Nightingale, but for those who benefit from their services.”
No one knows what the future holds. Life-changing moments like becoming ill or losing a loved one can happen when you lease expect them. Making a will and letting your family and friends know your wishes is vital.
When organising your will, your loved ones of course come first, but our work wouldn’t be possible without the generous legacy gifts we receive. A legacy is an item or donation left to a charity in your will. Legacy gifts are one of the biggest contributors to the ongoing running of The Nightingale and our services. Your last gift is a lasting gift that ensures support and a safe haven for those going through a most difficult time.
Anne Stennett, Curwens Solicitors, explains how leaving a legacy can reduce Inheritance Tax and why you should consider adding a gift into your will.
Leaving a legacy is now more important than ever due to rising costs. We value any gift you are able to give, large or small. Please consider The Nightingale when writing your will. If you have already written your will and want to change it to include The Nightingale, you can do this by adding a codicil to your existing will. You should consult a solicitor when completing a codicil or reviewing your will. If you have any questions about leaving a gift in your will our team will be happy to talk you through the process.
Whether you are writing a brand new will or amending an existing one, when leaving a legacy to The Nightingale you will need the details below when speaking to your solicitor:
