Night Hike 2026 raised…

🎉 £103,021 🎉

A HUGE thank you to every single person who walked, volunteered, donated, sponsored, cheered us on or helped make this year’s Night Hike happen. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you. Every penny raised means so much to us and helps us continue providing free vital support to people affected by cancer across our community.

We’re feeling incredibly grateful, incredibly proud… and already counting down to Night Hike 2027!

Your steps ensure that no one faces cancer alone

Join thousands of people taking a walk for cancer support. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, which means if not already, we will all be touched by cancer. It’s a staggering statistic and we want to make sure we are there for everyone, providing vital and free support. That’s why we hold the Night Hike every year; to ask our community to help us, so that we can help others.

What is the Night Hike?

A sponsored 5K, 10K or 15K walk around Enfield raising money for The Nightingale to help keep our services free to thousands of people affected by cancer. It doesn’t matter which route you choose, you’ll be walking with likeminded people, determined to make their steps count!

The Night Hike starts at the Enfield Civic Centre, with music, entertainment, warm up, fun photo opportunities and other surprises (to be announced soon!) before the Claxon sounds at 7pm for 15K walkers and 7:10pm for 5K & 10K walkers. Plus, all walkers receive the famous Night Hike Goody Bag, with new surprises and merchandise each year.

The Night Hike is for everyone and we really mean it! There are no age or ability restrictions, as long as you’re comfortable walking you’re chosen route, we’re excited for you to join and children under 12 can register for free.

Plus all walkers don’t have to be on two legs, we love to see our furry four-legged friends join in taking a walk for cancer support and using their paws to help their community. Obviously every doggy gets a medal too!

No, not the animal! The Beavers from our local Scout Group didn’t want to miss out on the Night Hike fun (but 5K was a bit long for them), so they decided to make their own 3K route! They really showed incredible spirit and eagerness to take part with the community.

We greeted them back at the Welcome Reception to big rounds of applause and of course, medals for all.

Chirpy, the Tottenham Hotspur mascot, joined in the celebrations.

He danced, snapped pics, kept the energy high, helped lead our warm up and got into the Night Hike spirit.

See you next year Chirpy!

Another stunning performance from Mumsing at our Welcome Reception, there’s a reason we always ask them back every year. They really are the best!

What our Night Hikers have to say...

It was my first time taking part and what a great event. The route was good and the stewards were all lovely and so encouraging.

The Night Hike was an exceptional evening, packed full of smiles, joy and laughter all around! It’s a great feeling when a group of people get together to all support the same thing! We chose to do the 15k that evening, and it was genuinely the easiest 15k I’ve ever walked knowing that every step was making a difference to a charity close to my heart! A truly well organised event! I’ll be sure to never miss one!

My team of friends that joined me really enjoyed the atmosphere and buss of the whole event. They were over the moon that they could help raise money for a charity that has helped me in my cancer journey and help The Nightingale maintain support for the community. We loved our team photo!

Fabulous evening, all Marshalls friendly and supportive! I think this year’s event was fantastic and it can only get better.

The organisation on the event night was excellent. The organisers were so friendly and supportive. Love the two cheerleaders cheering us back to the finish line. Wonderful night. Thank you❤️
